What is Florida Ready to Work?
Florida Ready to Work is a FREE, online career readiness program providing training in soft skills, digital skills, and academic employability skills. In addition to this training, you can earn nationally recognized credentials to show employers that you have mastered these skills.

Why should I participate in Florida Ready to Work?
By participating in Florida Ready to Work, you can earn up to three (3) state recognized, nationally endorsed credentials. This shows employers you have the foundational employability skills needed to succeed in the workplace, setting you apart from other candidates.

Each Florida Ready to Work Credential lists the skills you mastered to earn the credential. In today's skills-based economy, showing employers your specific skills will make you a more desirable job candidate and can help you get hired.
What are the credentials available through Florida Ready to Work?

Florida Ready to Work – Soft Skills Credential
To earn the Soft Skills Credential, you must pass a one-hour proctored assessment confirming you have workplace communication, professionalism, teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Florida Ready to Work – Digital Skills Credential
To earn the Digital Skills Credential, you must pass a one-hour proctored assessment confirming you have the technology skills needed in the workplace, including computer operations, internet browsing, creating and sharing digital documents, and using common digital communication and security tools.

Florida Ready to Work – Academic Employability Skills Credential
To earn the Academic Employability Skills Credential, you must pass three, proctored assessments confirming you have foundational workplace math, reading, and data analysis skills. There are four Achievement Levels that correlate with the U.S. Department of Labor O*NET Job Zones 2-3-4-5, the nation’s primary source of occupational data. The levels build on each other, with higher levels indicating readiness for more jobs.

How do I sign up?
Florida Ready to Work is offered in high schools, state colleges, technical centers, adult education programs, CareerSource Florida networks, and community-based organizations. Ask your teacher, principal, or school guidance counselor how to sign up.
What do I do if my school doesn’t offer Florida Ready to Work?
If your school doesn't offer Florida Ready to Work, ask your parent or guardian to reach out to the Florida Ready to Work Customer Service Team to find a program nearby.
