Florida's career readiness training and credentialing program (F.S. 445.06) is preparing students and jobseekers with the employability skills required to take the next step toward technical training / certification, apprenticeship, and employment.
Florida Ready to Work is a research-based career readiness program created by Florida law. The program focuses on developing a work ready talent pipeline with the essential employability skills required for individual, business, and whole community economic well-being and growth.
Return on investment includes:
- 300,000+ jobseekers trained, completing 1.5+ million hours of employability skills development
- 225,000+ credential earners, outperforming those without the credential in both job placement and earnings by as much as 30 percent
- Double-digit reductions in employer hiring, training and turnover costs
Program services are delivered in collaboration with the CareerSource Florida network, schools, state colleges, technical centers, adult education, juvenile justice, corrections, community-based organizations, and employers.
Florida Ready to Work is funded by the State of Florida and administered by the Florida Department of Commerce in partnership with WIN Learning, a national career readiness solutions company.
