Florida Ready to Work can help you score your next job. Your Florida Ready to Work Credential will make you stand out from other applicants and shows employers that you have the skills and initiative they are looking for.

You can even improve your score and your value to employers with free online training tools that will build your job skills.  And the Florida Ready to Work Career Center will help you research potential careers and the skills you will need to get the job.

To earn the credentials, you must take four proctored assessments – Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Locating Information for the Ready to Work Credential and Essential Soft Skills for the Florida Soft Skills Credential.   

It’s all free, and it’s easy to get started.

1. Once you have enrolled with an Assessment Center, take the three required placement tests to gauge your foundational skills – Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Locating Information. Each test takes about 15 minutes to complete. You can take the tests on your own time from any computer.
2. Take the Essential Soft Skills pretests to gauge your skills. You can take the tests on your own time from any computer.
   
3. Use the online courseware training to improve your scores and job skills if needed.
4. Score at least a Level 3 on each of the three required foundational skills assessments. Receive your Florida Ready to Work Credential signed by the Governor. If you don't score at least a Level 3 or if you want to increase your score, you can use the online courseware training from any computer, anytime, for free. 
   
5. Score at least a 70 on the Essential Soft Skills Assessment and earn the Florida Soft Skills Credential signed by the Governor. If you don't score at least a 70, you can use the online courseware training for free.
