About Us.

Florida Ready to Work is a new employee credentialing program that is sponsored and funded by the State of Florida.  The program is administered by the Florida Department of Education in partnership with the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation.  The State of Florida has contracted with Worldwide Interactive Network (WIN), a private e-learning company, to provide the Web-based delivery system and implementation support for the program.  Florida Ready to Work is based on WorkKeys® – a national workforce development system developed by ACT, the national testing company best known for the ACT college admissions test.

There are now 31 states with similar program. As of July 20, 2007, more than 100,000 credentials have been issued nationwide.

Florida Ready to Work is being implemented by high schools, community colleges, technical centers, regional workforce boards, and other workforce development and education partners statewide.
